And I don't think that makes me a communist.
I agree. I am hoping the National Society of Film Critics gives best picture to something not awarded yet like "The Master" (it had a big day today but still no best picture), "Moonrise Kingdom", "Beasts of the Southern Wild" or even though it would make me throw up in my mouth a little "Holy Motors" which has its fans amongst critics and film-lovers. Some new acting winners would be appreciated as well. Maybe Jean Luis Tritignant, John Hawkes or Denis Levant for best actor. Qvenshane Wallis for best actress.
That would be such a breath of fresh air in this race. I'm cautiously optimistic that Wallis will get in for Best Actress, but what a cool race it would be if Levant or Hawkes or (especially) Trintignant could make the final five. That could make for Best. Oscars. Ever.
